Here in Corona, CA it has been very warm and sunny. So it's a great day to think about what we can do to protect our skin and stay out of the sun.

• Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (one that blocks both UVA and UVB) year-round and even on cloudy days
• Wear glasses - make sure they wrap around the sides to prevent rays coming in
• Wear a hat - Intense sun can actually cause a sunburn on your head through your hair

You can also check the UV Index for Corona. The UV index is a forecast of the amount of UV rays expected when the sun is highest in the sky. The index runs from 0-10, where less than 4 is considered low, 5-6 moderate, 7-9 high and 10+ very high.

Staying out of the sun will keep you looking younger.

The Corona Public Library has five programs to promote reading this summer.

• Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
• Kindergarten through 3rd grades
• 4th through 6th grades
• 6th grade through 12th
• 18 years or older

There are reading goals for each category. Thre are prizes for each group also like:

• McDonald's meal coupon
• A new paperback book
• A ticket to a Rancho Cucamonga Quakes baseball game
• Gift baskets
• and a chance to win a $100 American Gift Certificate

So this summer enjoy a good book at any age and earn some great prizes. Visit the library or go online and signup.

On July 31st You can enjoy the music of All American Wranglers. The concert is from 7:00pm till 9:00pm and Admission is FREE

It's held at the City Park Fiesta Bandshell located at 930 East Sixth Street, Corona.

The “All American Wranglers” is a “classic country” western band.

On July 12th  The Fender Center's Rhythm Louge is proud to welcome Marianne Keith.

The Rhythm Louge is a 21 and over is an intimate and hip venue. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8:00pm. There is a $10 cover charge.

Marianne is a Redlands native and ever since she was a 5-year-old girl singing in the Temple Baptist choir, she has loved music. Marianne decided in the eighth grade that she wanted to be a professional musician. While at Redlands High School, she developed her singing voice, but it wasn't until she was 18 that she started taking guitar and piano seriously. She continued to pursue a music career while attending Crafton Hills College and then Cal State Fullerton. Marianne has written over 60 songs for her second album, an astonishing feat for a young artist. She continues to look ahead to where the road of touring musician takes her as she plays her songs up and down the West Coast.

Come see her July 12th at the Fender Center.
