Come enjoy some Cajun/Zydeco music at the Corona Library
April 7th, 2008 3:56 PM

On Sunday April 13th at 2:00pm "Benny & the Swamp Gators" will be playing live at the Corona Library.

Bennie Gibbs and the band have been together since 1994. Foks that hear the Swamp Gator's infectious music find it hard to stay in their seats, and can usually be found on their feet dancing to the Zydeco beat. Here is a sample of this great music.

So come down and enjoy one of the hottest Cajun/Zydeco bands in Southern California.

Admission is FREE!

Happy Earth Day!
April 22nd, 2008 1:02 PM

Since today is Earth day I thought we might talk about cleaning "Green" around the house. We use cleaning products everywhere throughout our home; on our countertops, floors, dishes, hands and many other places. A good rule is if you don't want it on your skin or in your body, don't use it. More and more companies are creating "Green", safe and healthy products.

Here are just a few companies:

What to do if your child runs away
April 21st, 2008 8:33 AM

If your child were to ever run away, it can be a very frightening experience for you and your child. After a child has left the home there are many potential dangers. It is important that you try to stay calm and have the following things prepared.

  • Have a current photo
  • Take finger prints of your child - Many law enforcement agencies can asist in this.
  • Keep a sample of your child's DNA - This can be as simple as a finger name clipping, baby tooth, tooth brush or hair brush.
  • Keep their medical and dental record's up to date
  • Document your child's appearance - Write down eye coor, hair color, height, weight. Also things like birthmarks, braces, permanent scars and tattoos.

The first 48 hours are the most critical in locating your child. Check anywhere that you think your child may be.

There is no waiting period to report a missing child!

Put up posters with your child's information this will help get more eye's look for your child.

If you need help distributing your child's photo and information contact, free of charge Missing Children's Poster Partners at (951) 688-7866.
